Highcroft, Phase 3

About this project

Highcroft is a development consisting of 555 homes, primarily comprising houses and low-rise apartment blocks up to three stories, all constructed using traditional masonry. BDC was appointed as civil and structural engineering consultants for the detailed design of Phase 3.

BDC conducted a comprehensive design review of the existing house designs and proposed alternative solutions to simplify construction. The aim was to minimise the overlap between different trades, reducing potential risks and associated costs.

As part of our work on Phase 3, BDC carried out a comprehensive assessment of surface and foul water drainage, levels, earthworks and foundations. By thoroughly reviewing these elements, BDC helped optimise the design of the development, ensuring that Phase 3 of Highcroft would be functional, efficient, and compliant with planning and safety standards.
